Foodservice Industry Veteran Honored by NAFEM

ANAHEIM, CALIF. - The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) presented Louise O'Sullivan, president, Prime Advantage Corp., with the 2005 William W. Carpenter Award at The NAFEM Show, Sept. 24, Anaheim, Calif.

"Her leadership and commitment to professional development and enrichment has led to more than 1,100 industry professionals earning the Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP) designation," said Steven D. Cobb, CFSP, NAFEM president and president/CEO, Henny Penny Corporation, Eaton, Ohio. "Louise is an exceptional foodservice industry leader and has helped to make NAFEM and our industry stronger."

O'Sullivan began her career in the foodservice industry with Groen in advertising, marketing and sales positions, and quickly rose through the ranks before being named president in 1985. In 1994, she co-founded Prime Advantage Corp., a private buying group for manufacturers. Her NAFEM career is equally impressive. In addition to assisting in the launch of the CFSP program, she served on the board of directors, and as treasurer, secretary and vice president before assuming the NAFEM presidency - the first woman in NAFEM history to hold that title - in 1991.

The William W. Carpenter Award, the association's highest honor, recognizes an individual who has dedicated their life to NAFEM and the foodservice equipment and supplies industry.
